An Annual Highlight

Once again, it's that time of year: our borders in Keukenhof have been planted! Since 2019, JUB Holland has had the honour of providing its own design and matching flower bulbs for our permanent location in the park. It’s a unique opportunity to show what flower bulbs can do – and how they can tell a story. The result can be admired every spring by hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Inspired by a Still Life Master

For 2025, Carien van Boxtel – now a regular designer of our Keukenhof borders – created the concept A Mysterious Dutch Still Life. She was inspired by 17th-century painter Willem van Aelst, a master of floral still lifes filled with drama and asymmetry. That same atmosphere is reflected in our border, where tulips and naturalising bulbs take centre stage.

A Painting in Bloom

Tulips and naturalising bulbs are the stars of the design. With deep tones and red highlights, the border evokes the atmosphere of a classical painting. A carefully curated bulb mix ensures strong blooming and a refined colour palette.

In Full Bloom This Spring

The bulbs have been planted, and in spring the design will come to life among millions of other flowers – always with a story of its own.
