Large-flowered, cactus dahlia Melody Dixie is a grateful summer bloomer that will give you months of joy. Dahlia Melody Dixie blooms all summer from July until the first night frost. Dahlia Melody Dixie grows to approximately 60 cm. high. This dahlia is therefore also very suitable for planting in pots on the terrace or balcony.You can plant dahlia tubers in the spring. Dahlia Melody Dixie is frost-sensitive, so be careful with late (night) frost. Dig a large planting hole, loosen the soil and fill the planting hole with high quality potting soil. Carefully place the tubers in the planting hole and cover with 3-5 cm. soil. The planting distance of the tubers is 30-60 cm. Give the tubers some water immediately after planting. Dahlias bloom most abundantly in full sun. Store the tubers in a frost-free place after flowering and you will enjoy them for years.Dahlia Melody Dixie combines well with perennials and other dahlia varieties. The pink and white flowers are real eye-catchers in the border. Dahlia Melody Dixie is also an excellent cut flower and has a long vase life. The best time to cut dahlias is early in the day. Place the stems directly in lukewarm water with cut flower food.
