Gladiolus White. Gladioli are true summer bloomers that can bloom until autumn. This large-flowered gladiolus grows to 100 cm and is also a beautiful cut flower. So be sure to plant a row of gladioli in your cut flower garden. In addition, gladioli are very richly flowering and should therefore not be missing in your summer flower garden.You can plant the tubers of Gladioli in the spring about 7-10 cm deep. First loosen the soil well and sprinkle a layer of sharp sand at the bottom of the planting hole. This allows rainwater to drain away well under the tubers. Place the tubers about 10-12 cm apart. Add some high quality potting soil during planting. Mix heavy (clay) soil with sharp sand before planting. This large-flowered gladiolus likes to grow in a warm, sunny spot.This large-flowered gladiolus can be combined well. You can make special combinations with it in the border with tall perennials and dahlias. Plant gladioli preferably in a different place each year. Are you using the gladiolus as a cut flower? Then pick the stems when the flower lowest on the stem opens, preferably early in the morning. Place the stems directly in a vase with lukewarm water with cut flower food.-
