Gladiolus Green Star is a real summer bloomer that can bloom until autumn. This large-flowered gladiolus grows to about 120 cm and is also a beautiful cut flower. So be sure to plant a row of gladioli in your cut flower garden. In addition, Gladiolus Green Star is very richly flowering and should therefore not be missing from your summer flower garden.You can plant the tubers of Gladioli about 7-10 cm deep in the spring. First loosen the soil well and sprinkle a layer of sharp sand at the bottom of the planting hole. This allows rainwater to drain away well under the tubers. Place the tubers approximately 10-12 cm apart. Add some high quality potting soil when planting. Mix heavy (clay) soil with sharp sand before planting. This large-flowered gladiolus likes to grow in a warm, sunny spot.This large-flowered gladiolus has a beautiful yellow-green colour and is therefore easy to combine. You can create special combinations with it in the border with tall perennials and dahlias. Preferably plant gladioli in a different spot each year. Are you using the gladiolus Green Star as a cut flower? Then pick the stems when the flower lowest on the stem opens, preferably early in the morning. Place the stems directly in a vase with lukewarm water with cut flower food.-
