Alcea rosea Double White (hollyhock) is a high-growing plant (height 100-175 cm.) with a strong stem and large white flowers. It is a beautiful vertical bloomer. The inflorescence is beautiful and very suitable for against the house, for example. or to plant along the fence. The hollyhock is a real sun worshipper. Well-drained, somewhat sandy soil is excellent. Make sure you fertilize enough and dont let the soil dry out. Place the young plants about 50 cm apart. The nice thing about hollyhocks is that they often self-seed and look for beautiful spots in the garden.
